Communicating About Learning
We are committed to communicating regularly with families about student learning. Some of the ways you can expect us to communicate are:
- Check Parent Portal for attendance and grades
- Students can log into D2L with their parent/guardian to check college grades
- Family Nights

- Call the office to tak with our staff at 651-403-4222
- Monthly newsletters
- Parents please use iUpdate to ensure we have your correct email and phone numbers, so you will receive the newsletter
Working Together for Student Success
The Gateway Staff will work with you and your student to support their academic success. As a staff we will:
- Provide high quality curriculum and instruction, academic support and enrichement activities in a safe, supportive, and effective learning enviroment.
- Report timely information on each student's progress through Gateway's monitoring system.
- Respond to parent communication in a timely manner, and be abailable to help students after school.
Gateway Parents/Guardians will work with the staff to support student acedemic success at home. Parents/Guardians will:
- Ensure their student attends school every day.
- Provide a quiet place to do homework.
- Talk with their student about their education
- Be involved in the Gateway Community by:
- Attending at least one school event during the year
- Communicating with Gateway Staff
- Asking your student to show you their college progress on D21
Gateway Students will work with staff to move forward with preparation for their future. Students will:
- Attend school everyday, and be on time for class
- Stay organized by keeping track of their assigments
- Get help when needed, i.e attend workshops to work directly with their teachers
- Set goals for their grades and future plans
- Keep track of their progress through the school's monitoring system

- The percentage of students who are college ready in math will increase from 58% to 60%
- The passing of ELA courses will increase from 62% to 65%
- Post-High School College Access
- Increase the number of students continuing in education after high school from 42% to 50%
